Buccaneers' O.J. Howard (Achilles) "likely" done for the season
Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end O.J. Howard is likely out for the season with an Achilles injury.
Howard suffered a serious Achilles injury during the second half of Week 4's game against the Los Angeles Chargers, according to ESPN's Jenna Laine. Bruce Arians told reporters after the game that "it looks like he (Howard) has a ruptured Achilles and will probably be done for the year.". Its another blow to a Buccaneers' offense that is already dealing with injuries to Chris Godwin (hamstring) and Mike Evans (foot). Howard's absence will free up an average of 4.75 targets per game in the Tampa Bay passing game with Rob Gronkowski and Cameron Brate next in line at the position.
Before exiting Week 4's game against the Chargers, Howard caught 3 of 6 targets for 50 yards and a touchdown.
