Ezekiel Elliott only earns 58 yards for Cowboys on 26 opportunities
Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott rushed 14 times for 34 yards and a touchdown, and caught 6 passes (12 targets) for 24 yards in a 38-31, Week 3 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
Elliott salvaged his worst game of the season to-date with a first-quarter touchdown. His 2.2 yards per carry were fewest among any running back with at least 20 opportunities in a game this season. Elliott also became just the sixth running back since 1992 to have fewer than 25 receiving yards on at least 12 targets. Tyron Smith (neck) is expected back Week 4 and the Cowboys are currently favored over the Cleveland Browns, so Elliott should benefit from a healthier line and positive game script. Antonio Gibson of the Washington Football Team averaged 5.4 yards per carry and scored a touchdown against the Browns on Sunday.
Zeke scored a season-low 14.8 FanDuel points in Week 3 and is now averaging 20.1 FanDuel points per game this season. The Browns rank 11th against the run after Sunday's games, according to numberFire's advanced models.
