Malik Jackson

Raiders expected to pursue Denver's Malik Jackson

Denver Broncos defensive lineman Malik Jackson, an impending free agent, is expected to draw the interest of the Oakland Raiders, the Denver Post's Troy Renck reports.

What It Means:

Jackson is scheme-transcendent lineman, and Oakland has dabbled in both 4-3 and 3-4 alignments the past few years. The Raiders primarily fielded a 3-4 front in 2015, and the Broncos also ran a 3-4.

Only 26 years-old, Jackson is coming off career bests in tackles (45), sacks (sacks) and pass breakups (seven). Oakland is loaded with salary cap space and could certainly be Jackson's highest bid. Jackson helped Denver finish first in Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points per play.
