Rams: Cam Akers (ribs) recovering slower than expected
Los Angeles Rams running back Cam Akers' recovery from his rib injury isn't coming along as quickly as first anticipated, per head coach Sean McVay.
Akers appears headed for his first career absence when the Rams play the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. Darrell Henderson led the way in Week 2 with 121 yards on 14 touches while Malcolm Brown dealt with a finger injury. He will likely be the Rams' lead back versus the Bills as the only healthy option.
The Bills have allowed the third-fewest rushing yards (151) through two games but they rank just 27th against the run in numberFire's advanced rankings. Henderson has added more Rushing Net Expected Points per carry (0.20) than both Brown (0.10) and Akers (-0.17).
