D.J. Chark (chest) 'trending upward' for Jaguars on Thursday
Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver D.J. Chark (chest) is "trending upward" for Week 3 against the Miami Dolphins on Thursday night, reports Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
A final decision on Chark's status will be made closer to Thursday night's kickoff. The third-year receiver should be able to play after getting in limited practice sessions on Monday and Tuesday. Chark is just fourth on the team in wide receiver targets (7) through two games after commanding a 20.9 percent target share in 2019. However, he's been extremely efficient with the low volume, catching every target for 109 yards and a touchdown. Chark may be able to pop against a Dolphins secondary that just gave up 153 receiving yards to Stefon Diggs in Week 2.
Chark is the WR21 in numberFire's weekly fantasy rankings and has a salary of $7,100 on FanDuel. Our models expect him to score 11.4 FanDuel points with 6.9 targets, 4.1 receptions, and 54.9 yards in Week 3. The Dolphins have the second-worst pass defense in the NFL, per numberFire's analytics.
