Steelers' James Conner bounces back with 106 yards and a score in Week 2 win over Broncos
Pittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner recorded 16 carries for 106 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown, with 2 receptions on 2 targets for 15 receiving yards in a 26-21 win over the Broncos in Week 2.
Conner responded well following a terrible result against the New York Giants in Week 1. He shook off any concerns of a split backfield, out carrying Benny Snell 16 to 3, and out targeting both Snell (1) and Jaylen Samuels (1). Most of his production game on a 59-yard run late in the fourth quarter to seal the game, but he converted his goal line opportunity and didn't appear hobbled by an ankle injury. It can always change again, but if Week 2 is any indication, the Steelers backfield belongs to Conner again. Next up for Conner and the Steelers is a Week 3 clash with the Houston Texans.
Conner scored 19.1 FanDuel points in Week 2, 7.7 more than numberFire's projection (11.4).
