Chargers: Tyrod Taylor (chest) to remain the starter if he's "100% ready to go"
Los Angeles Chargers' quarterback Tyrod Taylor, who missed Week 2's game against the Chiefs with a chest injury, will remain the team's starter if he is "100% healthy and ready to go".
Anthony Lynn told reporters after Sunday's 23-20 loss to the Chiefs that Taylor will keep the starting job if he is healthy. Taylor's status is up in the air after he was injured right before kick-off, so Lynn's words may not be tested in Week 3. Rookie Justin Herbert was impressive in relief of Taylor, completing 22 of 33 attempts for 311 yards (9.4 per attempt), 1 touchdown, and 1 interception. The Chargers plan was to ease Herbert into life in the NFL, and it appears they want to stick to that plan, if possible, despite Herbert's impressive debut. The Chargers play the Carolina Panthers in Week 3.
If Taylor is available, our models project him to score 18.7 FanDuel points against Carolina in Week 3.
