Phillip Lindsay (toe) expected to miss 2-4 weeks for Broncos
The Denver Broncos expect running back Phillip Lindsay (toe) to miss the next 2-4 weeks of the NFL season.
Lindsay had already been ruled out for the team's Week 2 tilt against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but is now in doubt for Weeks 3 and 4 as well. Lindsay opened the season as the team's 1B running back option to Melvin Gordon's 1A, but is in danger of falling further behind if Gordon runs away with the job in the next couple games.
While Gordon should see a healthy boost to his opportunities with Lindsay sidelined, third-year running back Royce Freeman should also see some additional work. Freeman is projected to score 6 fantasy points in our models and is salaried at $4,700 on FanDuel as the team's de facto RB2 for Week 2.
