Tarik Cohen signs extension with Bears ahead of Week 2
The Chicago Bears have signed running back Tarik Cohen to a 3-year, $17.25 million contract extension.
The timing of this signing definitely raises some eyebrows considering that the team's focus reasonably should be centered on extending star receiver Allen Robinson, but the Bears clearly felt the need to Cohen around for at least the next two seasons.
Cohen typically operates as a change-of-pace and receiving back, but struggled last year, posting career-lows in attempts per game and yards per attempt, while losing 10 fumbles over the past 2 seasons over 313 touches. Cohen was very involved in the team's Week 1 win, and should continue to see a significant enough workload for some fantasy viability. Our models project him to score 6.9 fantasy points in Week 2. His salary on FanDuel is $5,000.
