Buccaneers' Chris Godwin (concussion) ruled out for Week 2's game against Panthers
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin has been ruled out for Week 2's game against the Carolina Panthers with a concussion.
Godwin has been downgraded from doubtful to out and will miss Week 2's showdown with the Panthers. Godwin suffered a concussion during the fourth quarter of Week 1's loss against the New Orleans Saints but didn't begin to show symptoms until Wednesday, at which time he placed into the NFL's concussion protocol. Godwin was able to return to practice on Friday, but will not clear protocol in time to play in Week 2. With Godwin out, look for Scotty Miller to see an increase in targets against Carolina, with Mike Evans, Justin Watson, and the Buccaneers tight ends also in line for increased opportunity.
The Buccaneers are 8.5-point favorites over the Panthers in Week 2. Their implied team total of 28.0 points is the fourth-highest implied team total on Sunday's main slate, according to numberFire's DFS Heat Map.
