Broncos' Phillip Lindsay (turf toe) expected to miss multiple weeks
Denver Broncos running back Phillip Lindsay will likely miss the next few games, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Lindsay is dealing with turf toe, which he suffered in the second quarter of Monday's loss to the Tennessee Titans. He left the game and didn't return, and while the team is seeking a second opinion on his injury, the expectation is that he'll miss more than one game going forward. His absence means an uptick in touches for starting running back Melvin Gordon, and Royce Freeman will slot in behind him in the pecking order.
Lindsay took 7 carries for 24 yards Monday while also catching one pass for 11 yards on one target. He picked up 0.21 net expected points per rush with a 42.86 rushing success rate.
