Melvin Gordon handles 18 touches, scores touchdown in Broncos debut
Denver Broncos running back Melvin Gordon rushed 15 times for 78 yards and 1 touchdown and caught 3 passes (3 targets) for 8 yards in a 16-14, Week 1 loss to the Tennessee Titans on Monday night.
Gordon out-touched Phillip Lindsay 18-8 because Lindsay exited early in the second half with a foot injury and never returned. Lindsay out-touched Gordon 7-6 before leaving, but the latter proved to be the more efficient option on the ground. Gordon could be looking at another heavy workload in Week 2 against the Pittsburgh Steelers if Lindsay is ruled out. The Steelers just held Saquon Barkley to 6 yards on 15 carries Monday night.
Gordon scored 14.1 FanDuel points on Monday night. numberFire's models project him for 10.8 FanDuel points in Week 2 with 16.4 touches and 75.7 yards. His salary is $6,700. The Broncos' Week 2 opponent, the Steelers, gave up the third-fewest FanDuel points (11.6) to opposing backfields in Week 1.
