Jaguars confirm James Robinson as Week 1 starter
Jacksonville Jaguars running back James Robinson is the starter for Week 1 against the Indianapolis Colts, offensive coordinator Jay Gruden confirmed.
"He can handle the workload," Gruden praised. "He’s tough. He’s strong. He’s got great vision. He can explode through holes. We’ve been impressed with him." Chris Thompson should still have a role in passing situations but it looks like Robinson has replaced Leonard Fournette as the Jaguars' new lead back.
numberFire's models project Robinson for 9.2 FanDuel points in Week 1 with 13.4 carries for 56.5 yards. He's the RB27 in our weekly fantasy rankings and has a salary of $4,500.
