Alvin Kamara, Saints reportedly 'extremely close' on extension
The New Orleans Saints and running back Alvin Kamara are "extremely close" to finalizing a multi-year extension, reports Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Despite recent speculation to the contrary, Kamara will be suited up for the Saints' opening matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. Latavius Murray will once again start the year as Kamara's capable backup. Kamara turned 25 in July.
Kamara is the RB9 in numberFire's Week 1 fantasy rankings and costs $8,300. Our models project him for 16.3 FanDuel points with 92.6 yards on 18.6 touches (4.8 receptions).
