Jaguars list James Robinson as Week 1 starter

Jacksonville Jaguars undrafted rookie running back James Robinson is listed as the starting running back for Week 1 against the Indianapolis Colts.

What It Means:

Jaguars general manager David Caldwell recently said Robinson's training camp played a role in the decision to release Leonard Fournette. That came after head coach Doug Marrone said that the gap was “smaller than expected” between Robinson and Fournette. Robinson could see the first snaps and touches on Sunday, but Devine Ozigbo and pass-catching specialist Chris Thompson are also expected to be involved.

Robinson is the RB53 in numberFire's Week 1 fantasy rankings and costs $4,500 on FanDuel. Our models expect him to have 36.2 yards on 7.8 touches while Ozigbo (RB39, $4,500) is expected to lead with 50.0 yards on 11.1 touches.
