Chiefs release DeAndre Washington
The Kansas City Chiefs have released running back DeAndre Washington.
What It Means:
Following last week's reports that Darrel Williams was emerging as the primary backup behind rookie first-round draft pick Clyde Edwards-Helaire, DeAndre Washington has been cut. The Chiefs will head into the 2020 season with Darrel Williams and Darwin Thomson behind CEH in their backfield.
Edwards-Helaire's Week 1 projection includes 67 rushing yards, 0.55 rushing touchdowns, 3.8 receptions, and 16.4 FanDuel points.
