Schefter: Devonta Freeman visiting Jaguars on Saturday
Free agent running back Devonta Freeman is scheduled to visit with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Freeman, who was released by the Atlanta Falcons over six months ago, will visit the Jaguars on Sunday with the hope of filling the void left by Leonard Fournette's departure. Freeman has had discussions with the multiple teams this offseason, including the Philadelphia Eagles, Seattle Seahawks, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but no deal has materialized. With Ryquell Armstead (COVID-19) unavailable again, Jacksonville is down to just Devine Ozigbo, Chris Thomspon, and James Robinson in their backfield.
Freeman averaged 12.0 FanDuel points (RB23) and 76.1 offensive yards with 6 touchdowns in 14 games last season. He managed just a 29.4 percent success rate, compared to 42.7 percent for the rest of the Falcons' backfield.
