Greg Olsen 'chomping at the bit' for reps in Seahawks camp

New Seattle Seahawks tight end Greg Olsen has been 'chomping at the bit' for reps in training camp this summer.

What It Means:

In a recent interview, former Carolina Panther Greg Olsen discussed how his first training camp with his new team has given him a renewed energy. While he had previously taken camp reps 'for granted', he now finds himself clamoring for every rep he can get with quarterback Russell Wilson ahead of the 2020 season. Olsen is expected to be the Seahawks' starting tight end, but could compete for targets with Will Dissly if the latter is (finally) healthy.

Olsen posted three consecutive 1,000-yard seasons with the Panthers between 2014-2017, but had struggled to stay healthy in his last three seasons with the team. His time with the Seahawks has reportedly had a revitalizing effect on the veteran's approach to the game, and with Wilson at quarterback, Olsen could be in line for a big season. However, he's currently projected to finish as the TE21 in fantasy football on the Seahawks' low-volume offense.
