James Conner expected to be Steelers' workhorse back
Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin called himself a 'feature-runner-type guy' with regards to running back James Conner.
Conner is expected to be the Steelers' featured runner again in 2020, but the young back's history with injuries has created some doubts about his workhorse role with the team heading into this season (especially with backup Benny Snell reportedly having a great camp). Conner will likely be the team's workhorse for as long as he's healthy.
Conner is our RB17 for the season, but if he stays healthy for the entire season he could be in line for even greater production. We currently have him projected for 232.3 carries, 1,013.7 yards, and 6.8 touchdowns, with another 33.3 receptions, 274 receiving yards, and 1.7 receiving touchdowns this season.
