Colts' Adam Vinatieri will kick again in 2016
Indianapolis Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri, an impending free agent, confirms he'll return for a 21st season in 2016.
"Not only a season, but lord willing, a couple of years," Vinatieri said. "There will come a time when it’s over for me. I don’t think that time is yet. I enjoy playing." The Colts have already said they'd like to re-sign Vinatieri, who remains one of the league's best kickers. Vinatieri will undoubtedly require a raise on the $2.5 million he averaged the past two years. Vinatieri turned 43 in December.
Vinatieri hit 25 of 27 field goal tries in 2015, including 12 of 13 kicks from at least 40 yards out. He was also 32 for 35 on extra points.
