Alvin Kamara reportedly away from Saints camp due to contract
New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara has had an unexcused absence from training camp the past three days and it is believed to be over contract disputes, reports Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Kamara is scheduled to make $2.133 in the final year of his rookie deal. The two sides have less than two weeks to resolve things. Latavius Murray would take over lead back duties in the event that Kamara holds out through Week 1. Contract issues aside, Kamara is due for positive touchdown regression in 2020 after only scoring six times on 252 touches last season.
numberFire's models project Kamara for 217.4 carries, 1,011.0 rushing yards, 77.8 receptions (100.4 targets), 535.5 receiving yards, and 14.0 touchdowns this season. He's the RB6 in our preseason fantasy rankings.
