Chargers' Derwin James (knee) expected to miss "significant time"
Los Angeles Chargers defensive back Derwin James suffered a knee injury during practice on Sunday and is expected to miss significant time, according to NFL Network's Ian Rappoport.
James has been diagnosed with a meniscus injury and will have to undergo either a trim or a full repair. A trim would see James miss around 4 weeks, while a full repair would sideline him for several months. It's another tough break for the former 17th overall draft pick from 2018, who missed 11 games last year through injury.
The Chargers D/ST is the 24th ranked defense in numberFire's preseason fantasy rankings.
