Chargers' Keenan Allen emphasizing staying in shape 'all year round'
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen told The Athletic's Daniel Popper that his chief mantra has been 'Availability and Consistency.'
In order to achieve the goals laid out by his mantra, Allen has adopted a policy of staying in shape 'all year round' in recent seasons. Allen missed large chunks of games in back-to-back seasons with a lacerated kidney injury and a torn ACL, but has been the picture of health and availability over the past three seasons, in which he has missed zero games.
Allen's 2020 outlook is somewhat diminished compared to recent seasons due to the Chargers' big change at the quarterback position, but the elite route-runner still projects as one of the best receivers in the league for fantasy purposes. He's slated to finish as the WR25 even with Tyrod Taylor and Justin Herbert at the quarterback position.
