Mitchell Trubisky still competing for Bears' starting job
Chicago Bears incumbent starting quarterback Mitchell Trubisky has yet to separate himself from offseason acquisition Nick Foles.
The Bears infamously acquired Foles from the Jacksonville Jaguars earlier this offseason to compete for the starting job with Trubisky, but as of this writing, neither player has established himself as the team's starter just yet. The Bears have been held back by mediocre quarterback play over the past several seasons, and that might not change in 2020.
Our models project Trubisky to have a slight edge over Foles for in-season production, but that would require the 2016 first-round pick to outplay the veteran. Trubisky is numberFire's QB31 for 2020 and is projected to score just 133.81 total fantasy points. He'll need to start rushing the football again to have any real significance for fantasy football.
