Chiefs expect Clyde Edwards-Helaire to 'have big year'
Kansas City Chiefs first-round rookie running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire is "on pace to have a big year, to be our primary ballcarrier," according to Chiefs general manager Brett Veach.
"Draft Clyde Edwards-Helaire in the first round of your fantasy draft," writes Peter King of NBC Sports after spending the week at Chiefs training camp. "Believe me, you’ll thank me for that tip on the LSU rookie." There was already plenty of reasons to be bullish on Edwards-Helaire's fantasy outlook before Damien Williams opted out of playing. He's now firmly locked in as the lead back in one of the most prolific offenses in recent NFL memory.
CEH is the RB7 in numberFire's preseason fantasy rankings. Our models project the rookie for 239.7 carries, 1,042.5 rushing yards, 57.3 receptions (76.4 targets), 443.4 receiving yards, and 12.2 touchdowns.
