Chiefs' Sammy Watkins (groin) has returned to practice

Kansas City Chiefs wideout Sammy Watkins (groin) has returned to practice.

What It Means:

Watkins has missed a lot of playing and practice time since entering the league, but this particular injury didn't seem too concerning. Watkins has said himself this offseason that he is okay with playing a smaller role in the Chiefs offense this year, and he is expected to lose some targets to second-year speedster Mecole Hardman.

Watkins is currently numberFire's WR59 heading into the season. He flashed in an absurd Week 1 performance in 2019, but his production fell off a cliff for the rest of the season. He's projected for 45.8 catches this year for 586.8 yards and 5.6 scores.
