San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Kendrick Bourne has "probably been the 49ers' most consistent receiver" in training camp, according to Nick Wagoner of ESPN.
Wagoner said Bournce caught a pair of touchdowns in practice as he "continues to show a knack for getting open in the red zone." The former undrafted free agent played the third-most snaps (43.7 percent) among 49ers' wideouts last season and he could see a larger role this year with Deebo Samuel (foot) currently sidelined and Jalen Hurd (ACL) out until 2021. Bourne never had 70 yards or more than 4 catches in any game last season, but he did tie George Kittle for the team lead with 5 touchdowns. Bourne is competing with Trent Taylor, Tavon Austin, Dante Pettis, and even Jerick McKinnon for early-season snaps behind Brandon Aiyuk.
Bourne is the WR84 in numberFire's preseason fantasy rankings. Our models project him for 58.7 targets, 36.3 receptions, 434.4 yards, and 3.3 touchdowns.
