Justin Jefferson working as Vikings' No. 3
Minnesota Vikings first-round rookie wide receiver Justin Jefferson is "the clear No. 3 option" behind Adam Thielen and Bisi Johnson at practice, writes Chad Graff of The Athletic.
Graff says Jefferson "hasn’t shined against the second-team defense quite as much as you’d expect" after previous expectations had him opening the year as the Vikings' starter opposite Thielen. The Vikings aren't expected to utilize three receivers very often, so Jefferson may see limited snaps to start his career if he can't leap Johnson on the depth chart.
Jefferson is the WR53 in numberFire's preseason fantasy rankings. Our models project him for 79.3 targets, 47.7 receptions, 682.8 yards, and 4.3 touchdowns.
