Jets ink Freddie Bishop to a two-year deal
The New York Jets signed linebacker Freddie Bishop to a two-year contract.
What It Means:
He visited seven teams before signing. Bishop was a stud in the CFL, winning a Grey Cup with Calgary in 2014. Bishop joined the Detroit Lions in 2013 as an undrafted free agent out of Western Michigan but was cut after OTAs.
The Jets sported one of the league's top defenses in 2015, ending the regular season ranked sixth in Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points per play.
