49ers sign tight end Jordan Reed
The San Francisco 49ers have signed tight end Jordan Reed to a one-year contract.
It feels like ages ago now, but there was a time when Reed was as valuable a fantasy asset as Rob Gronkowski. Unfortunately, Reed has had unbelievably terrible luck with injuries throughout his career (particularly with concussions), and missed the entirety of the 2019 season. He'll get a shot to contribute alongside superstar tight end George Kittle this year on an offense that won't need to rely on him nearly as much as Washington consistently did.
Reed was electric early on in his career, and was dominant in 2015, a season in which he caught 87 passes for 952 yards and 11 scores.
