Jets' C.J. Mosley opts out of 2020 NFL season
New York Jets inside linebacker C.J. Mosley will not play this season, according to Rich Cimini of ESPN.
Mosley cited family health concerns as the reason for his opting out, and we appreciate that his priorities are in order. The Jets are pretty loaded at the position, so perhaps this won't be too big a blow to them. Avery Williamson, Neville Hewitt and Patrick Onwuasor will be tasked will filling Mosley's shoes.
The Jets' defense ranked No. 10 in the NFL last season in terms of Football Outsiders DVOA. Mosley had been projected for 91.39 tackles and 1.66 fumble recoveries before the news.
