Lions place Kenny Golladay on COVID-19 list

The Detroit Lions placed wide receiver Kenny Golladay on the COVID-19 reserve list.

What It Means:

Golladay has either tested positive for the virus or has been in close contact with someone who has tested positive. In order to return to training camp, Golladay will need to pass multiple tests and be symptom-free. Despite tracking down passes from David Blough and Jeff Driskel for half the season, Golladay led the NFL with 11 receiving touchdowns last year and also finished top-10 in yards (1,190) and yards per catch (18.3). He was on pace for nearly 1,300 yards and 14 touchdowns before Matthew Stafford went down with a back injury.

Golladay is currently the WR8 in numberFire's preseason fantasy rankings. Our models project him for 130.8 targets, 79.0 receptions, 1,232.8 yards, and 6.8 touchdowns this season. During the first half of last season before Stafford's injury, Golladay ranked 1st in Reception Net Expected Points (NEP) per reception (minimum 50 targets), 4th in Reception NEP per target, and 6th in Reception Success Rate.
