Ravens' De'Anthony Thomas opts out of 2020 season
Baltimore Ravens receiver De'Anthony Thomas has opted out of the 2020 season.
De'Anthony won't be the last skill position player to opt out of the 2020 season, so it's worth keeping this in mind until players officially show up in camp. Thomas wasn't expected to play a major role on the Ravens' offense, but was likely to remain their primary return man.
Thomas ran just 16 routes for the Ravens last season despite their thin depth at the receiver position, so his absence doesn't exactly lead to increased opportunities for other receivers on offense. However, he did return 13 punts and 10 kicks for the team last season, which is a role rookies like Devin Duvernay and James Proche could latch onto heading into the season.
