Eagles' Alshon Jeffery (foot) in a 'really good spot'
According to Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson, Alshon Jeffery (foot) is 'in a really good place.'
We should assume this is coach speak, as Pederson did not comment on when he thought Jeffery would be able to return. Jeffery is expected to start the season on the PUP list, opening up opportunities for 2019 second-rounder J.J. Arcega-Whiteside and 2020 first-rounder Jalen Reagor.
Jeffery averaged just 6.7 yards per target in his injury-shortened 2019 season, while posting his lowest yards per game (49) since his rookie season. It's hard to say for sure how much of an impact he'll have in 2020 until we know more about his recovery, but we have him tentatively projected for 43 targets, 25 receptions, 287 yards and 2.5 touchdowns.
