Pats' Sony Michel (foot) has been rehabbing at team facility

New England Patriots running back Sony Michel has been rehabbing his foot at the team's facility for several weeks.

What It Means:

As an injured player, Michel was permitted to use the team facility as he recovered from offseason foot surgery. It is still unclear what exactly the surgery was performed to address, but Michel was pictured recently without a walking boot and at least appears to be progressing nicely in his recovery. If he's healthy by the time the season starts, he'll be a high-volume RB2 for fantasy.

Michel has had over 200 carries in each of his first two seasons with the Pats, but has not eclipsed the 1,000-yard rushing mark in either year and has amassed just 19 total receptions in that time. Praised for his elusiveness coming out of Georgia, Michel has struggled with injuries since and broke a tackle just once every 15.4 attempts in 2019. He is currently numberFire's RB32 for fantasy this season. Don;t be surprised if the Pats start to look elsewhere this season if his lackluster play continues.
