Fowler: Jacksonville's Yannick Ngakoue 'still desires a trade'
According to ESPN and Jeremy Fowler, Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Yannick Ngakoue "doesn’t have immediate plans to sign the tag."
Despite several disagreements with Jacksonville's front office, Ngakoue remains on the Jaguars' roster after a trade was not made during the draft. Per Fowler, the 25-year old still desires a trade and will not sign his franchise tag even during training camp.
Contract issues aside, Ngakoue has displayed consistent pass rush skills throughout his career. In 790 snaps last season, the Jaguars' defensive end recorded 27 pressures, 8 sacks, and 9 quarterback knockdowns.
