Ravens' rookie Devin Duvernay working with specialist

Baltimore Ravens third-round rookie wide receiver Devin Duvernay has been working out in Texas with quarterback Robert Griffin III and position specialist David Robinson.

What It Means:

Duvernay and fellow rookie wideout, sixth-rounder James Proche, have been working out three days per week for the past month around northeast Texas. Robinson, meanwhile, is also working with Dez Bryant and other receivers and he helped Denver Broncos first-round pick Jerry Jeudy prepare for the draft. He compares Duvernay to 2018 first-round pick Marquise Brown for the rookie's ability to "take the top off the defense." Robinson also believes Duverynay will see touches out of the backfield "because he's like a running back as well." Duvernay finished with the second-most first downs (68) and only 3 drops among FBS receivers in 2019. He figures to see most of his playing time from the slot in his first season, which could cut into Willie Snead's usage.

numberFire's models expect Duvernay to be the Ravens' third-most productive receiver behind Brown and Miles Boykin. He's the WR97 in our preseason fantasy rankings and projected for 44.0 targets, 26.4 receptions, 325.1 yards, and 2.1 touchdowns.
