Eagles' guard Brandon Brooks suffers torn achilles tendon

Philadelphia Eagles right guard Brandon Brooks has suffered a torn left achilles tendon injury and will miss the entirety of the 2020 season.

What It Means:

He reportedly suffered the injury during a workout at the team's NovaCare complex. This is devastating news for both Brooks and the Eagles. Brooks has now torn both of his achilles tendons in a span of just three years.

Brooks has been one of the league's truly elite guards since entering the league back in 2012. He graded out as Pro Football Focus' top guard in the league in 2019 and was a major contributor to Philly's top-notch offensive line.
