Bears' Allen Robinson not worried about contract extension heading into 2020 season
Chicago Bears wide receiver Allen Robinson is excited about the upcoming season and not thinking about a potential contract extension, according to NFL.com's Kevin Patra.
Robinson is entering the final year of his contract and is a candidate for an extension, but isn't worried about getting a new deal done right now. Robinson saw a career-high 153 targets for the Bears' last season and turned that opportunity into 98 receptions (a career-best 64.1 catch percentage) for 1,147 yards (11.7 receptions) and 7 touchdowns. While Robinson fell short of his lofty yardage (1,400) and touchdown (14) totals from his 2015 season, he had his best season as a Bear, the second-best season of his pro career, and his best season since 2015. Robinson was Pro Football Focus' 14th rated wide receiver last season (min 36 targets) and finished with the sixth most receptions among all wide receivers.
Robinson is the WR15 in numberFire's preseason fantasy rankings. Our models project him for 138.3 targets, 93.7 receptions, 1,088.5 yards, and 6.3 touchdowns.
