Devonta Freeman

Eagles reportedly also eyeing Devonta Freeman

The Philadelphia Eagles are considering running back Devonta Freeman as they look to add a veteran back, reports ESPN's Tim McManus.

What It Means:

The Eagles had previously been linked to Carlos Hyde and LeSean McCoy, and per McManus, the team has "narrowed their focus" to the three players. Freeman has also reportedly drawn interest from the Seattle Seahawks and New York Jets. Despite the Eagles' desire to add a veteran back, Miles Sanders is still expected to handle the lion's share of backfield touches. Freeman, now 28, has been limited to just 16 combined appearances over the last two seasons due to multiple injuries.

Freeman averaged 12.0 FanDuel points (RB23) and 76.1 offensive yards with 6 touchdowns in 14 games last season. He managed just a 29.4 percent success rate, compared to 42.7 percent for the rest of the Falcons' backfield.
