Josh Gordon

Josh Gordon reportedly applying for reinstatement soon

Free agent wide receiver Josh Gordon will apply for reinstatement soon, reports Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.

What It Means:

Gordon was suspended December 16 for violating the NFL's PED and substance-abuse policies, his fifth such suspension since 2013. However, the new CBA is much more forgiving in regards to substance abuse, so Gordon may be given yet another shot at redemption. He only averaged 38.7 yards over 11 games for the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks last season, but he posted 15.8 yards per catch, 16th-most among 181 players with at least 25 receptions. Gordon turned 29 in April.

Gordon had 27 catches on 47 targets for 426 yards and 1 touchdown in 11 games for the New England Patriots and Seahawks last season. He averaged 5.6 FanDuel points per game and ranked 25th out of 100 receivers with at least 40 targets in numberFire's advanced per-target receiving metric.
