Hayden Hurst practicing with Matt Ryan in Atlanta
Atlanta Falcons tight end Hayden Hurst has been driving to Atlanta for the last four weeks to catch passes from Matt Ryan.
“That’s helping me a lot," Hurst said. "That’s really going to pay off during training camp." The Falcons acquired Hurst from the Baltimore Ravens in March to make up for the departure of Austin Hooper to the Cleveland Browns. The 2018 first-round should see a spike in production after being stuck behind Mark Andrews last season. He never had more than 4 catches in a game and only cleared 50 yards twice.
Hurst is the TE16 in numberFire's preseason fantasy rankings. Our models project him for 75.0 targets, 50.0 receptions, 555.9 yards, and 3.7 touchdowns. He did finish with the sixth-most yards per target (9.0) last season among all tight ends with at least 30 targets.
