Manish Mehta: Jets reportedly 'believe they will sign' cornerback Logan Ryan
According to Manish Mehta and the New York Daily News, "there’s a strong belief inside the organization (New York Jets) that they’re about to add" cornerback Logan Ryan.
What It Means:
The Jets are reportedly interested in signing Ryan after "internal discussions about increasing their available cash pool to sign Ryan" took place between ownership and the front office. Expect the 29-year old to potentially boost a pass defense ranked 15th in coverage utilizing Pro Football Focus' 2019 Ratings.
On 114 targets (663 coverage snaps) last season, Ryan allowed 80 receptions for 940 yards and 4 touchdowns.
