Jadeveon Clowney open to Seahawks return

Free agent edge defender Jadeveon Clowney isn't ruling out a return to the Seattle Seahawks.

What It Means:

“I love Seattle," Clowney said. "I love everybody on the coaching staff.” Clowney has reportedly received "multiple" offers from the Seahawks, as well as the Tennessee Titans, but they apparently haven't met his demands. He also says he's fully recovered from sports hernia surgery for an issue that caused Clowney to miss three games last season and limited him down the stretch. He finished with 3.0 sacks and 7 tackles for loss after recording at least 9.0 sacks and 16 tackles for loss each of the previous two seasons. Clowney turned 27 in February.

The Seahawks ranked just 28th in the league last season in pressure rate (19.3 percent), but Clowney earned the ninth-highest overall defensive grade from Pro Football Focus out of 66 edge defenders to play at least 500 defensive snaps.
