Seahawks staying in touch with Jadeveon Clowney
Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said the team is staying in touch with EDGE rusher Jadeveon Clowney this offseason.
Clowney's market in free agency has been surprisingly quiet, so an eventual reunion closer to the season could make sense. The Seahawks did not make any significant investments into replacing Clowney in the 2020 NFL Draft, either.
As much as the Seahawks could use someone like Clowney on defense, the team still generated pressure at a bottom-five rate with Clowney in 2019. It will take more than just re-signing the former first-overall pick to turn the team's defense around, but doing so would be a good start.
