Giants select safety Xavier McKinney with 2020's 36th overall pick
The New York Giants selected Alabama safety Xavier McKinney with the 36th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
What It Means:
McKinney joins a Giants pass defense that ranked 30th overall in coverage by Pro Football Focus last season. He should help them address a critical weakness heading into Daniel Jones' second season.
McKinney was Pro Football Focus' 3rd ranked safety in the 2020 draft. He earned a grade of 87.6 last season, tenth best at the safety position.
