Patriots reportedly picking up Marqise Lee
The New England Patriots signed Marqise Lee to a one-year contract, reports Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Lee caught a total of 3 passes in just six games last season after missing all of 2018 with a torn ACL. The 28-year-old wideout is "fully healthy and completely cleared medically," according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. The Patriots are hoping Lee will be able to return to his 2016-2017 level of play, when he averaged 119.0 yards and 59.5 receptions. Lee could potentially compete with Mohamed Sanu and N’Keal Harry for a role in three-wide sets.
Lee was the WR42 in 2017 and WR48 in 2016 in FanDuel points per game. He finished above league average in numberFire's advanced per-target receiving metric both of those seasons.
