Cowboys' Tony Pollard could see snaps at wide receiver

ESPN's Todd Archer believes Dallas Cowboys running back Tony Pollard could see snaps at the wide receiver position in 2020.

What It Means:

Pollard didn't see much action in 2019, but still managed to produce a highly efficient 455 rushing yards on just 86 carries behind Ezekiel Elliott. With the departure of Randall Cobb this offseason and no clear options at slot receiver in the team's current wide receiver corps, Pollard could make for an interesting fit in Cobb's old role.

Pollard has a history of carving out a receiving role behind a workhorse back; he played behind Los Angeles Rams running back Darrell Henderson at Memphis in college and caught over 100 passes during that time. As we saw in 2019, Pollard is an explosive threat with the ball in his hands and deserves a chance to shine with his versatile skill set.
