Patriots' Julian Edelman avoids vandalism prosecution
New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman will not be prosecuted in his misdemeanor vandalism case.
Edelman was arrested for misdemeanor vandalism in Beverly Hills after jumping on the hood of a Mercedes Benz shortly after the Patriots were eliminated from the playoffs. The owner of the vehicle told the district attorney's office that he has been fully compensated for the repair costs. Edelman turns 34 in May, but he's coming off the second 100-catch season of his career and set a personal-high in receiving yards (1,117) last season.
Edelman averaged 12.9 FanDuel points (WR15) and 69.8 receiving yards per game with 6 touchdowns last season. His 7.3 yards per target were down from 2018 (7.9) and the veteran ranked 27th in Reception Net Expected Points per target out of 30 receivers with at least 100 targets.
