Colts agree to terms with cornerback T.J. Carrie

The Indianapolis Colts have agreed to terms with former Cleveland Browns cornerback T.J. Carrie.

What It Means:

The Colts are clearly looking to bolster their depth in the secondary, signing Carrie to a one-year contract today after signing longtime Minnesota Viking Xavier Rhodes to a deal earlier this offseason. Carrie is not a lock to make the final roster come September, but does add depth at the position.

Carrie failed to truly catch on in Cleveland, allowing 93 receptions for 1,161 yards and 4 touchdowns on 153 targets as a part-time player over his 2 seasons there. However, he did show promise at times with the Oakland Raiders before his stint in Cleveland, including grading out as Pro Football Focus' 23rd-best coverage grade in 2017. He'll look to bounce back in Indy.
